1. Get The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. You can find this game at almost any game store. You don't need to keep this game in most case, but it is a awesome game why not just keep, and you can help out your friends. (If you have modchip in your wii, you don't need this game. You can install a modchip for around $140, and this game just $50 for new one, and $30-35 for used one. Its up to you.)
2. You need an SD card less than 2 gigabytes and a computer with SD card reader. After you have SD card read in the card reader, go to Wiibrew main page (google it, you will find at the first line). You need several files from here, and all of them are free, and no sign up required.
All files will be in RAR form, so you will need to unzip them. The first file is Twinlight hack, get the new version, and unzip into SD card. ( After you unzip you wii find a private folder, which is save game files). The twinlight hack website have very clear introduction for choosing the save game files regarding the Game version.

Now you're half way there!
Play the game like normal the first time and have the game save a file into your wii. Then go to wii menu and find your save game in your wii (Twinlight hack also have very clear introduction at this part). Now delete your game save from wii, and put your SD card which has Twinlight hack save game in a private folder.
Now go to wii menu, and then to the data manager at SD card. Your wii will show three game save files. I use US game, so I click US, and click yes to copy save game into your wii. (Sometimes the copy fails you may need to try different twinlight hack version.)
4. Take your SD card out the Wii, and go to the wiibrew application again, find an application called Homebrew channel, download it, and unzip it to the SD card. You will find a boot.doi file at SD card root direction. Put your SD card back into wii, and insert your The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess game to play.
When you begin your game, you will need to choose a save game dependent on your Game version. After clicking the right game save, you will need to talk to a person in the game, and the screen will become black with several options. Choose boot from SD card.
Your Wii will install the Homebrew channel from the SD card. After it is done, you will find a new chanel on your wii, and it is the door for your other functions on the wii.
( If you need to play DVD's, you need install DVDX from the twinligh hack, or Homebrew channel.)
Now you're finished, you have unlocked the full potential of your Wii.
If this is too complicated for you, too expensive, or has harmed or you think it may harm your Wii Console, there is a MUCH easier way to do this (without Zelda or a modcip) There is a software called BreWii that will allow you to homebrew your Wii safely, cheaply and easily.
